Tips & FAQ

Khronos VII tips

Easy to use, but with so many hidden features!

The Clock Page

The Clock Page has five parts:

  1. the dates and time
  2. the Space Compass
  3. your location, attitude & speed
  4. the Apple Weather logo
  5. the navigation Tab Bar (common to all pages)

The dates shown are your Favourites from the Calendars Page.

The Space Compass is very interactive – tap anything you like for more info!

The presentation on the location block can be changed by swiping – to change from mph to m/s, just swipe!

The Calendars Page

From top to bottom:

  • Date Picker – defaults to today, but you can change it
  • the current system Calendar and date from the Date Picker
  • your favourite alternative Calendars, and the date in their system.
  • all the Other available Calendars, with their dates
  • the navigation Tab Bar

Swipe Other Calendars to promote them to Favourites.

Swipe Favourites to demote them back to Other.

Press and drag Favourites to re-order them

The Almanac Page

Shows two blocks:

  • Today’s moon and sun rise and set times, the moon phase, and anything special about today’s date (e.g. it’s the equinox)
  • upcoming special dates, new or full moon, next solstice or equinox, etc.
  • plus, of course, the navigation Tab Bar!

Widgets

Khronos has two Widget types – the Space Compass and an Alternate Calendar date.
The Space Compass is only available on the Home Screen, whereas the Alternate Calendar is available on both the Home Screen and the Lock Screen.

What devices are supported?

The app will operate on any iPhone and iPad that supports iOS 26.4+.

Does Khronos VII work offline?

Yes. Khronos uses the internet for two things – to get the weather from Weather, and to get the name of your current location from the GPS latitude and longitude – so neither of these will update if there is no connectivity, but everything else should function as normal.
